watercolour streetscene from a black and white photo of lower johnstone street in victoria. no idea if i got the colours right. know for sure the perspective is not right, but i wanted to make it a bit more organic.

a bit more colour and something new
Two new pieces. The first - my girlfriend's daughter picking daisies - back to bright bold colours that make me happy. This one could be headed off across the ocean as a gift for a grandmother - I hope they like it.

The second piece - 'fireworks in the city' is a first attempt at collage - it might be my last as well. I was inspired after my niece and nephew made a trip to NYC and were there for the 4th of July. It was definitely the product and not the process in this case. I am pleased with how it turned out - but spent the entire time (10+ hours) wondering why I was doing it. It certainly challenged my patience!
